In August 2021, the overall monitoring indicator continued to flash the “red” signal, the total score increased one point to 39. The trend-adjusted leading index increased for the first time in eight months and the coincident index decreased for five consecutive months, the government will be closely monitoring the economic situation.
The Monitoring Indicators
- The total score in August 2021 was 39, flashing the “red” signal, which increased 1 point from 38 last month.
Leading Indicators
- The trend-adjusted leading index increased by 0.15% in August 2021 to 101.74, rising for the first time in eight months.
Coincident Indicators
- The trend-adjusted coincident index decreased by 0.66% in August 2021 to 101.14, falling for five consecutive months.
Lagging Indicators
- The trend-adjusted lagging index increased by 1.00% in August 2021 to 103.17, rising for eleven consecutive months.
