In April 2021, the overall monitoring indicator continued to flash the “red” signal, the total score increased one point to 41. The trend-adjusted leading index decreased for the first time since May 2020 and the coincident index increased for eleven consecutive months, the government will be closely monitoring the economic situation.
The Monitoring Indicators
- The total score in April 2021 was 41, flashing the “red” signal, which increased 1 point from 40 last month.
Leading Indicators
- The trend-adjusted leading index decreased by 0.02% in April 2021 to 104.72, which was the first decline since May 2020.
Coincident Indicators
- The trend-adjusted coincident index increased by 0.77% in April 2021 to 106.17, rising for eleven consecutive months.
Lagging Indicators
- The trend-adjusted lagging index increased by 0.90% in April 2021 to 101.93, rising for seven consecutive months.
