To accelerate alignment with international NDCs and increase climate actions to enhance industrial competitiveness, Taiwan’s government has reviewed the 2030 goals to strengthen ambitions, and set new carbon reduction targets for 2032 and 2035 to accelerate carbon reduction efforts through diverse and proactive measures.
- In 2030, Taiwan’s net greenhouse gas emissions will be reduced by 28±2% compared to 2005 levels.
- In 2032, Taiwan’s net greenhouse gas emissions will be reduced by 32±2% compared to 2005 levels.
- In 2035, Taiwan’s net greenhouse gas emissions will be reduced by 38±2% compared to 2005 levels.
