The manufacturing sector reversed its recent trend of growth in the past seven months as the seasonally adjusted Taiwan Manufacturing PMI fell 5.5 percentage points to 47.6 percent and recorded its biggest month-to-month decrease since July 2012. The dramatically decline of New Orders and Production Index is the main reasons for the contraction of PMI. The non-manufacturing sector continued to struggle and remained in contraction for three consecutive months, as the Taiwan NMI Index increased slightly of 0.2 percentage point to 42.5 percent.
