The manufacturing sector contracted for three consecutive months as the seasonally adjusted Taiwan Manufacturing PMI registered 48.0 percent in July, an insignificant decrease of 0.1 percentage point from June. The non-manufacturing sector raised up continuous momentum and expanded at a faster rate as the Taiwan NMI increased 2.9 percentage points to 54.9 percent in July.
