June,  2019
  1. NDC Minister Chen Mei-ling led a delegation to the EU to co-chair the first “Taiwan-EU Dialogue on Digital Economy (DDE)” with Roberto Viola, director-general of DG CONNECT. In addition, the two parties conducted technical consultation on our application for the "adequacy determination" of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The delegation also visited the Netherlands and Estonia to exchange ideas on innovation, information economy and digital government.

  3. NDC Minister Chen Mei-ling attended 2019 Future Commerce and first appeared in the opening ceremony in AR (Augmented Reality).

March 2019
  1. During the APEC EC1, the NDC held policy dialogue with the theme “Applying Emerging Technologies for Better Governance and Regulation of the Digital Economy”; OECD experts and representatives from four APEC economies, namely Chile, Singapore, Russia and Chinese Taipei shared related development experiences.
  2. NDC Minister Chen Mei-ling chaired the “Organizing the Blockchain Alliance” scholars and experts symposium. 
  3. NDC’s 65th council meeting was held.
  4. The NDC and the Chung-Hua Institution for Economic Research (CIER) sent a joint delegation to Berlin, Germany to attend the Global Solutions Summit 2019 held by the Kiel Institute for the World Economy and renowned international think tanks and organizations; the GS Taipei Workshop concurrent session was also held, with the theme “Using digital technology to overcome the challenges of ageing population.”
  5. Minister Chen Mei-ling visited the Mayor of Chiayi and chaired a meeting to reach a consensus on regional revitalization in Yunlin and Chiayi counties.
  6. Minister Chen Mei-ling chaired the Progress of Promotion of Industrial Development in Kaohsiung City’s Asia New Bay Area second meeting.
