In March 2019, the overall monitoring indicator continued to flash the “yellow-blue” signal, as the total score increased three points to 20. The trend-adjusted leading index picked up and the coincident index was still decreasing, the government will be closely monitoring the economic situation.
The Monitoring Indicators
- The total score in March 2019 was 20, flashing the “yellow-blue” signal, which rose from 17 last month.
Leading Indicators
- The trend-adjusted leading index increased by 0.71% in March 2019 to 101.58, rising for three consecutive months.
Coincident Indicators
- The trend-adjusted coincident index declined 0.87% in March 2019 to 97.02, falling for fifteen consecutive months.
Lagging Indicators
- The trend-adjusted lagging index declined slightly by 0.14% in March 2019 to 104.22, which was the first decline since May 2018.
