In January 2019, the overall monitoring indicator changed to “yellow-blue” signal from “blue” signal last month, as the total score increased four points to 20. The trend-adjusted leading index and the coincident index were both decreasing, the government will be closely monitoring the economic situation.
The Monitoring Indicators
- The total score in January 2019 was 20, flashing the “yellow-blue” signal, which is the first rise since July 2018.
Leading Indicators
- The trend-adjusted leading index declined slightly 0.56% in January 2019 to 98.69, which has fallen for eight consecutive months.
Coincident Indicators
- The trend-adjusted coincident index declined slightly 0.48% in January 2019 to 98.48, which has fallen for thirteen consecutive months.
Lagging Indicators
- The trend-adjusted lagging index increased slightly 0.20% in January 2019 to 101.66, which has risen for ten consecutive months.
